this is
a newly formulated course designed for those wishing to further
their knowledge in this subject and is absolutely essential
for anyone wishing to work within the canine behaviour/psychology
fields.
It has been fully researched (all findings can be verified),
with clearly defined objectives, is as up to date as possible
and is written in a format that allows for continuous updating
as and when the results of new research are made available or
published.
The canine course is made up of eight modules that guide the
student systematically step-by-step from beginning to end.
Module 1 - Gives an explanation of canine behave therapy
and a history of canine psychology. It also asks the question,
"what is a dog with a behavioural problem?" Then gives
an explanation. The evolution of the dog is also covered in
this module.
Module 2 - This deals with the development of canine
behaviour
Module 3 - Explains canine communication.
Module 4 - This module deals with diagnosis and all that
this involves.
Module 5 - Covers canine aggression.
Module 6 - Deals with the law relating to dogs.
Module 7 - Explains some other problems that may have
to be dealt with.
Module 8 - Gives hypothetical case studies for students
to assess, diagnose and then write out a program of treatment.
The course not only involves the theory or written modules but
also involves ALL students attending
the practice of an area tutor who is a practicing behaviourist
(approved by the Institute) for hands-on experience and assessment
under their guidance.
All students are required to travel to
the location of these tutors at their own expense.
This aspect makes this course unique and in the Institute's
opinion, one of the most comprehensive and in-depth courses
available today.
The canine course is at present being offered by the Institute
at a remarkable price of only £175.00.
Cheques should be made payable to: The Institute of Pet Behaviour
Consultants, and sent to the address on the contact page. |
