This
course will provide supporting evidence for the Kennel Club
Accreditation scheme, with possibly 5-7 points being awarded
on successful completion. The British Institute of Professional
Dog Trainers also endorse it.
It can be completed at your own pace within a maximum period
of THREE YEARS.
You will have your own personal tutor who can be contacted for
help and advice.
It must be pointed out that this is a pass or fail course. Pass
certificates or membership of the institute will NOT
be automatically given. All students MUST
achieve a set standard to pass the written part of the course
and must also pass practical assessments.
Once students have enrolled on the course, they can take either
the written or practical part as many times as they wish (within
the three year period already mentioned) in order to
gain the knowledge and understanding necessary to achieve the
combined pass mark.
If, after three years, a student has failed to submit written
work, failed to attend for practical assessment or not reached
the required pass mark, the NO
refunds will be made. If, however, on receipt of the 1st module,
you are not satisfied with the content, then providing it is
returned complete and in good condition within 7
days, then the course fee will be refunded.
All students completing the course will be awarded with a certificate
and will be offered (subject to satisfying
the membership committee of their competence and having solemnly
declared to uphold the aims and standards of the institute),
free membership of the institute for 1 year. Membership is renewable
annually thereafter at a cost of £10.00, payable
in January of each year. This will allow those successful to
use the letters 'MIPBC' (member of the Institute of Pet Behaviour
Consultants) after their names on any stationery or advertisements
etc.
Please note that although the complete
written part of this course consists of 8 modules, in order
to facilitate correct marking and accurate record keeping, each
module will be sent to you as the previous one is completed
satisfactorily.
If any further information or advice is required then please
contact me on 01754 810030. If there is no-one in the office
and the answering machine cuts in then please leave a contact
number and I will call you as soon as possible.
